The Shoppes of New Castle

Ground-up retail center construction with phased renovations to an active site.

This two-phase project began with the shell construction of a 20,000 square-foot retail center, featuring ten 2,000 square-foot tenant bays. Site improvements included extensive sidewalk installation to enhance pedestrian access, as well as site lighting and comprehensive stormwater management systems with erosion control and stabilization measures. Phase II focused on the demolition and exterior renovation of an existing store, which remained fully operational throughout construction. Maintaining a safe and clean environment during this phase required strict adherence to safety protocols and daily site integrity measures.

Testimonial

“Arne Jensen, in cooperative harmony with Emory Hill and architects Bernardon Associates, assisted in the design and construction of a beautiful small shopping center. The “Shoppes” were designed with an old-world flavor. Two graceful towers anchor each end of the building presenting an attractive and inviting view from the highway. Attention was given to the selection of the light fixtures, signage, landscaping and with great attention to detail. The Shoppes of New Castle are unique in both quality and tasteful design and stand apart from conventional strip malls. Your firm’s contribution to this endeavor is acknowledged and appreciated.”
