Sultana Education Center

Expansion and renovation of an education center supporting year-round environmental programming.

This project included a 4,000 square-foot, two-story addition and renovation to an existing 4,000 square-foot office and education center located in the Chestertown Historic District. The expansion was designed to support the Sultana Education Foundation’s mission to connect people with the Chesapeake Bay’s history, ecology, and culture. The renovated center now enables the organization to operate year-round and significantly expand its educational programming for schools and the public.

Testimonials

“The more I learn about construction the happier I am that we picked Emory Hill to build our new building. I truly had no idea what a personal process a project like this is, and how important the individual staff and corporate culture of the builders is. At every possible opportunity, [the project managers] have gone out of their way to make sure we are happy and to suggest improvements (many of them budget relieving) to the building. Thank you again for this and for everything you have done to support Sultana.”
